BioLoc transmitters

BioLoc transmitters are hybrid  with GNSS receiver, accelerometer, memory, temperature sensor and UHF link. Its weight only from 10 grs to severals. The housing is very sturdy (aluminium alloy) and adaptable in function of the species.

Its can also include a Geofencing option (Argos network) and a solar panels option.

The communication range can reach up to 50 kms (even more, already tested) thanks to the BioLoc Station.

We can also remotely connect with transmitters from 1 km to 136 kms to program, to reprogram or to download data.

It was originally designed to track resident birds in harsh environment or migrant birds using in the Geofencing mode.

Its can be also program as a data-logger only in certains cases. 

Each transmitter are fully programmable during the production or by you thanks to the USB’s (“Add-on” menu).

The GPS accuracy is also programmable. We can reach 2 m in open sky area. 

Transmitters operated from -20°C to +60°C. 

BioLoc Tag was designed in partnership with scientists. This is the most hybrid and lighter transmitter for harsh environment studies.

Technology tested on the Pic du Midi de Bigorre with the help of the Midi Pyrénées Observatory and the Paul Sabatier University of Toulouse.
