In 2011, following a request from the United Arab Emirates to develop the first VHF/GPS transmitter, Stratus II, to localise hunting falcons. Xerius won the technological challenge and, still now.
In 2012, Xerius developed the Argos Platform Finder, the Goniometer RXG-134, which can find any marine and/or terrestrial Argos transmitter, from any manufacturer. This leading edge product distributed exclusively by CLS has made Xerius more visible to the scientific community.
Today, Xerius is not only a state of the art Radio Frequency Research facility to which projects are subcontracted but also a leading manufacturer in the field of animal tracking.
In 2013, Xerius designed the first ARGOS/GPS transmitter with an integrated VHF receiver, at weights starting at 18gr. This new device allowed direct communication with user, at long range, thanks to our USB Key Lite or USB Performance. The user can program the device at distance and download any recorded data. The receiver integrated on Alteos is unique in the world. It was then, that Xerius realised the added-value it could bring to the scientific community.
In 2016, XeriusTracking sub-division was created.
