The 6th IAPC

This Sixth International Albatross and Petrel Conference took place in Barcelona, Spain, over 19-23 September 2016.

Xerius sponsored the first IAPC held in Europe where almost 150 worldwide scientists presented their studies about albatross and petrels. There were also rarer studies about smaller procellariforms, including small shearwaters, gadfly petrels and other little petrels which were previously omitted.

Twelve keynote speakers introduced their latest insights into their respective fields. There was an emotional story telling about the discovery and rediscovery of several petrel species by Hadoram Shirihai.

Beside, the welcome reception will take place in in a singular location, the Observatori Fabra. Moreover, we can listen to a fantastic and emotive presentation about the discovery and rediscovery of several petrel species by Hadoram Shirihai. We will also have the unique possibility to look through a telescope dating from 1904.

Finally, Frank Zino closed the Conference with one of the most epic stories about seabird conservation.

Obviously, it was a wonderful occasion for Xerius to introduce its latest innovations and answer technical questions.
